来自 : 豆瓣 发布时间:2021-03-25

FIRSTLight is a point of care decision support tool designed to provide healthcare professionals with instant access to reliable and up-to-date UK specific drug information. An easy to use one stop shop for information about how, when and when not to use a medication and how to manage ongoing patient treatment, FIRSTLight helps healthcare professionals to make informed clinical decisions faster.
Accessing FIRSTLight on the move via an iPhone or iPad could dramatically reduce medication errors caused by the absence of appropriate drug information whilst treating a patient.
Key features
FIRSTLight offers clinicians immediate sight of all commonly sought information relating to the use of a drug:
•How and when to use a medication
Ingredients, licensed and unlicensed indications and the corresponding doses, safe routes of administration and detailed administration advice
•When to avoid using a medication
Information about allergies and safety of use with other concurrent conditions, other drugs and food
•Tests, measures and observations required while using a medication
What should be done about any resulting changes, along with information about managing expected side effects and what to do in cases of over-dosage
•Reproduction, pregnancy and breastfeeding advice
Whether taking a medication can affect fertility, relevant recommendations for use of contraception for male or female patients and any risks associated with pregancy or breastfeeding while taking a medication
FIRSTLight indicates a medicine’s licensed status and availability either at a pharmacy or on a prescription. It also flags specific high severity warnings related to documented prescribing or dispensing errors, displaying messages about prohibited routes or commonly mistaken dosages.
